Our international scholarship committee reviews applications for the University of Salford International Excellence Award. Ten successful applicants will each get £5,000.00. To eligible for this award, you must have applied for an undergraduate course beginning in September 2024. This grant is not open to postgraduate students.

For fee-paying purposes, they are addressed as international students and charged the standard international tuition fee for the duration of the study.
A new student at the University of Salford who is not continuing or progressing from one programme to another (with the exception of self-funded International Foundation year students who are progressing onto an undergraduate course beginning in 2024-25 and are only eligible for one of our Global scholarships if they meet the grades).
Throughout the program, you will be studying full-time on campus.
Pursuing an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate taught master’s program. This website, as well as the individual scholarship web sites, contain information about which scholarships are not eligible for award consideration.
Self-funding. Students who pay any part of their tuition expenses through a sponsoring organisation are ineligible for international awards.
Not applying to a program whose tuition fee has been negotiated as part of a partnership or other arrangement to make the charge non-standard.

Please complete our online application form. The most significant component of your application is the two-part scholarship essay, which should include the following sections:
Part 1: Explain how your prior experiences and accomplishments will help you succeed here.
This is your chance to tell us how you want to be a successful and active student. You can include examples of academic awards you have received, recent sporting accomplishments, your participation in activities for your country’s and community’s social, economic, and cultural development, any entrepreneurial activity you are involved in, or other examples that demonstrate how you will succeed here. Please do not submit any sensitive information such as political, religious, or philosophical convictions, information about your medical history, or your ethnicity.
Part 2: Explain how your course of study will help you gain a better understanding of your subject and how this will benefit your home nation.
This is your chance to tell us about your dedication to your chosen topic. We are interested in more than simply your previous experience; we want to know how your studies will help you in the future and how your contributions will benefit your home nation. This could be at the national, regional, or community level. Please do not include any sensitive information, such as your political, religious, or philosophical opinions, as well as your medical history, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Your essay should not be greater than 300 words.
