The IDEX scholarships at the University of Paris-Saclay follow its determination to increase the diversity of international students further admitted to the master’s programs and nationally certified degrees that it organizes within its member institutions and to host a large number of highly qualified international students at its university to follow a diploma universitaire (D.U.) up to doctoral research.
Scholarship value and duration for International Masters at Université Paris-Saclay
The scholarship is for an amount of 10,000 € per year. University Paris-Saclay awards the scholarship to students and, for the academic year course, an academic year of a minimum of ten consecutive months, running from September to June, including the legal and school holidays in France. It might be given, depending upon the country of origin of the candidates, up to a maximum of €1,000 for travel and visa expenses.
It is a scholarship granted for one or two years, depending on the entry-level (M1 or M2). It is renewable every year when the amount of credits necessary to allow for promotion to the following year level has been attained.

Only students fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for a Université Paris-Saclay Master’s program delivered by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, EENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ.
- Newly arrived international students, aged 30 and less during the course of the selection year.
- Foreigner students who have lived in French territory for less than a year; the students have been or are to register in a course or internship that does not lead them to get any certification.
- Students of foreign nationality living on the French soil for less than a year, taking language classes (type FFL). – He/she is a student beneficiary who had stayed in France in the framework of the mobility program during his study (e.g., Erasmus Mundus joint Masters, Exchange Program.) for which certification was not obtained.
Are ineligible.
All students pursuing higher education in France, whether they have studied or are studying in an institution of higher education in France or abroad, or international students.
- People who have discontinued their education for more than three years in a row.
- Students with any other sort of scholarship worth more than €650 per month.
Application instructions for International Masters at Université Paris-Saclay
For scholarship consideration, an applicant admitted into the Master’s Programme offered at the University Paris-Saclay must prove quality academic records, the quality of the university where the first two years of bachelor’s degree has been earned, the quality of the Bachelor’s graduates, and their motivation. This program admission will only be completed after the successful evaluation and approval of the scholarship.
All selected students will receive a mail with a link allowing them to join an online application form. Only students who have received from the Université Paris-Saclay a message inviting them to apply for an “Université Paris-Saclay IDEX Scholarship” are eligible to apply for a scholarship. No unsolicited application is allowed.
